Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to ISOI.

We are very pleased to announce that we are an IB World School and authorized to offer the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme). We are looking forward to the transition to offering this Internationally recognized program in 2012-13. Our existing program offers a challenging course of study based on a North American style of curriculum in order to prepare students for university and life beyond formal schooling.

We have well-established graduation requirements in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Sciences, Foreign Language, Health & Physical Education, the Arts and Technology.

In Grades 9 & 10, students develop core skills to position themselves to take Advanced Placement (AP) classes in Grades 11 & 12. These classes are externally examined and students have the opportunity of earning university credit for this high school work. Upon transition to the IBDP programme during 2012-2013, students will also take external examinations with the potential for universities to grant credit for outstanding achievement in IBDP classes. Graduates of the Class of 2014 will be recipients of the International Diploma.
