High School

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to High School at ISOI.  On behalf of the staff and current students, I welcome all new and prospective students.

The High School at ISOI consists of grades 9-12 and presents students with a challenging course of study in order to prepare them for university and life beyond formal schooling.  ISOI follows an American style curriculum and establishes specific graduation requirements in the areas of English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Language and electives such as Art, Music, Computer Studies and Drama.  During the early years of High School, students develop their core skills and position themselves to take Advanced Placement (AP) courses in their junior and senior years.  AP classes are externally examined, and students have the opportunity of earning university credit for this high school course work.

In addition to academic courses, students also have many opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities.  Sports teams from ISOI travel to India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and inside Pakistan to compete in tournaments in swimming, soccer, cricket, basketball, volleyball and track and field.  Groups also travel to participate in group performances in art, band and choir.  In Islamabad students have the chance to visit local charities, perform in drama productions and participate in a variety of clubs.

High School at ISOI is a time of individual challenges and enrichment, which allow students to develop their skills and personalities in order to meet their challenges in life after High School.

Sincerely,

Dan Polta
Middle School and High School Principal
